JORDAN BURDA
Hi!
My name is Jordan Burda, and I am from Brooklyn, New York. I just graduated from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University with a major in Public Relations and a minor in Communication and Rhetorical Studies. On campus, I was also involved in Z89 Radio, where I was a lead host and executive producer for the music show, End of the Week Energy. I also worked as a Cinemas Director for the school's programming board, University Union, where I organized one-of-a-kind film screenings for the university community. Studying in Newhouse gave me the ability to expand my public relations skills and to hopefully pursue a career in entertainment PR.
Coming from New York City, I have always lived a fast-paced life with the hustle of the city. I grew up in a small family where relationships and communication were more important than anything. This led to having a passion for public relations, which I found at Syracuse University, where I hope to make a difference as a PR practitioners. I found my love for entertainment in high school. Going to an arts school and being a film major, I gradually developed my love for TV and movies. Even though I don't pursue film anymore, I still see it as a part of my future.
As well as PR, I love traveling, baking, watching movies and spending time with friends and family. I strive to keep myself busy in ways that I find rewarding, but also give me experiences for my future career.
